The May wedding of Shahnaz and Asghar was a colourful three day affair that began with a traditional henna party, where close female family and friends took part in ceremonies in an intimate setting at the bride's home.
The wedding (or Nikaah) ceremony was the following day, attended by 800 guests. The traditional Muslim ceremony took place at the Ja'ffari Islamic Centre in Thornhill, Ontario.
The final day of the festivities was a reception for 350 guests at Bombay Palace in Brampton, Ontario, with an exquisite dinner of traditional Indian cuisine.
After three days of elaborate events, the couple said that they were more than ready for their honeymoon to Malaysia!
