A Rustic Christmas Themed Wedding in Flamborough, Ontario

By Today's Bride on June, 22 2011

The wedding of Sara and Garrett was a rustic winter wonderland held at the historic Strabane United Church. Sara wore the same garter that her mother had worn on her wedding day – so it was both something borrowed and something blue. A harpist played during the processional and Sara’s twin sister played the grand piano while the couple signed the register. The 134 guests adjourned to an 1840s log home, which had been Sara’s previous home, where they enjoyed appetizers as well as the eight-foot Christmas tree while family photos were taken at Cedarbrooke farm. Throughout, the snow was gently falling.

The reception was at the Ancaster Old Mill, where the rustic-Christmas theme continued. The Inn was decorated with branches, pine cones and sparkling ornaments.
