A Vintage Garden Party Wedding in Toronto, Ontario

Meelena Scott Oleksiuk and Joel Abram Turkel exchanged vows at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto. An evening garden party was held at the home of the bride’s mother.

The garden was transformed with three enormous white tents housing the bar, a dance floor, and, throughout the garden, seating of all-white leather couches with a water fountain bubbling in the midst. The garden is on the shore of Lake Ontario and, as the sun went down, the lights of Toronto lit up the skyline.

The bride’s father screened a retrospective of the bride and groom’s lives. Late in the evening, the Ukrainian Hopak took over, including the bride and her brother, Yvan, who delighted the guests with their professional performance.
