A Lovely Vintage Wedding in Toronto, Ontario

By Today's Bride on November, 24 2009

The couple met at the SARS concert in 2003 in Toronto. Each was standing alone, waiting to get into the concert, and they exchanged a few words. When Marina entered the gate, Andrew was waiting for her on the other side. They spent 13 hours together that day. He walked her home (mid-town Toronto) and then phoned his mother (in Brampton, Ont.) in the wee hours of the night to come and pick him up.

Six years later, the couple was married in Knox College Chapel on the U of T campus before 84 friends and family. Immediately before the service, Marina and her father went on a short ride to have a few quiet moments together before they went to the chapel.

The cocktail hour was in the mezzanine and the reception was on the roof salon of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto. Marina and Andrew had taken dance lessons and learned a choreographed routine, surprising their guests with their performance.
