An Intimate Garden Wedding in Elmira, Ontario

By Today's Bride on December, 08 2009

Friends and family gathered at the country home of Laura's grandmother, Vi Radcliffe, in Elmira, Ont. for an afternoon garden wedding. The lush gardens provided the background for an intimate service before 85 guests.

The original table centrepieces were vases with blue Beta fish swimming inside, set on a mirror to capture the reflection. The groom chose the dinner menu, which included hors d'oeuvres of herbed goat cheese spread with mint and brochettes of melon, prosciutto and mozzarella, followed by a traditional roast beef dinner and concluding with the chocolate wedding cake, which had a thick centre layer of Lindor chocolate. The home-cooked meal was prepared and served by friends and family, followed by an informal evening of laughter and fun, until the bar closed at midnight.
