We usually say that the best gifts are edible gifts, because most people don’t keep the chochka that couples give them if they don’t serve a useful purpose. We still say that an edible gift (personalized cookie, chocolates, nuts) are ideal, but here are some ideas that guests might find handy – all under $5.

Check the dollar stores or go online and see the options in inexpensive favours. Some of these cost as little as $2 And some, ordered online, include shipping costs.

Bud vases

Miniature porcelain bud vases often will be kept – they’re useful for single summer blooms. Some tiny vases cost as little as $2 (with a minimum order).

Salt & pepper shakers

These salt and pepper shakers make adorable favours for weddings, or bridal showers. They are pretty as well as pratical and will continue to remind your guests how they shared your wedding day.

Miniature glass photo frames

Use them as photo frames or as place card holders. Often, each favour will contain a set of two packaged with a ribbon and bow.

Bottle stopppers

You’ll find them in a surprising range of interesting shapes and colours. Visit several websites – they are available in different styles in almost all wedding favour websites.

Glass coasters

Send a good luck wish with the ‘something blue’ coaster set. Clear glass in a PVC gift packaging includes ribbon and tag. One word is printed on each coaster with the message apparent when the coasters are stacked.

Scented candles

Let your guests take home a piece of wedding cake in the form of this lace-inspired candle. Wrapped in its own clear cake box, this cake will be a favour favourite.

Glass flower holders

The garden party wedding would not be complete with the flower-shaped tea light candle holders. Paired with a bouquet of flowers, these pink or green holders will sparkle into the night.

Classic round place card holders

These place card holders are perfect for many occasions. The slot accepts a stiff card so it snaps to attention as it displays the name.

Cup and saucer set

This cup and saucer set features fine white porcelain in a contemporary ‘swish’ design. Add a modern touch to your table settings, or fill with candies or other treats for a one-of-a-kind favour!

Personalized coffee

Few can resist the unmistakeable aroma and taste of freshly brewed gourmet coffee. Send your guests home with a small gift for the senses that can be enjoyed at their leisure. Make sure you wrap your gift in style.

Personalized candy jars

These small glass jars have a screw-on metal lid You can attach self-stick labels that are provided with your names or date of your wedding. Fill them with candy of your own choice.
