A Red and Silver Outdoor Wedding in Scarborough, Ontario

By Today's Bride on November, 17 2008

Courtney and Christopher were surrounded by 100 friends and family when they shared their vows.

Christopher’s son, Ryley, age four, was the ring bearer. The ceremony began with a special commitment that included Ryley before the couple exchanged their personal vows to each other.

When the bride walked down the aisle, she paused at the halfway mark. Little Ryley was standing on a step, facing her, and she placed a gold link chain around his neck and gave him a kiss. It was a replica of the gold chain Courtney had given Christopher as a wedding gift. After receiving the chain, Ryley took a gold thumb ring from the pillow he was carrying and placed it on Courtney’s thumb to illustrate their love and commitment.

The service and reception were held at Ellas Banquet Hall and Hospitality Centre. After the service, the guests had a roast beef dinner, the traditional cutting of the wedding cake and, at the end of the evening, a dessert table.
